Glens Forbes got his first crack with a free kick but could only watch as his shot slipped past the post.

Hill of Beath broke the deadlock after 12 minutes when Reid converted a penalty.

On 18 minutes Glenrothes won their first corner of the game, which when taken found the head of Napier only to see his effort headed off the line.

Glens were now moving into a period of dominance Which saw several corners won but they could not take advantage.

Glens won a free kick just outside the box which Hall saved well from Smith.

Another effort from Anderson went just wide.

Glenrothes equalised in the 38th minute when Martin made a darting run into the box and was brought down unceremoniously by the Hill of Beath defender.

Mutch came on for Ryan McDonald at the beginning of the second half and Russell replaced Forbes a few minutes later.

On 48 minutes a run from the half way line by Adamson ended with him scuffing the ball into the net under the body of Small. Glens won a free kick in a dangerous area which was wasted.

A bad mistake in the Glens defence allowed HoB’s Smith to tap the ball into the net.

On 65 minutes the away side went further ahead when Adamson scored his second of the match.

A minute later Martin broke clear but was scythed down by Wilson.

Glens conceded a corner in a dangerous position from which Smith scored goal number six.

Cooper replaced McManus and he scored a cracker curling the ball in only to see Hall at full stretch pluck the ball out of the air.
