Thistle travelled Glenrothes for a Tom McIntyre Memorial Cup section tie looking to make it four wins on the bounce.

Thistle made a bright start to the match and took the lead after little over four minutes when a Carson throw in was knocked into the path of Ireland by Barnes and the inform youngster prodded home his fourth goal of the campaign.

Things got even better for Thistle when they doubled their advantage after 12 minutes when Moir and Barnes well worked free kick saw the latter put an inviting ball across the face of the Glenrothes goal where Cameron was on hand to fire low into the net.

Glenrothes made a good start to the second half and Thistle had Cameron to thank for keeping the home side at bay as he twice cleared off the line in as many minutes.

But it was Thistle who would score next when Jukes collected a Moir pass before sending a zipping ball across the face of goal for Harrow to provide the finish.

With Thistle struggling to string passes together Glenrothes were beginning to come back into the match and were rewarded midway through the half when Barnes was harshly adjudged to have committed a foul and the resultant free kick found the net.

With 10 minutes remaining Cameron was fouled in the box and the midfielder dusted himself down to take the resultant spot kick however his tame effort was easily saved by the Glenrothes ‘keeper.
