After an impressive first half, Glens made their dominance pay in the second half.

But the local side weren’t to be denied and managed to get their noses back in front.

Co-boss Smith told Glens’ official social media channels: “Credit to the boys because we dug in for last 20 minutes and defended brilliantly, so much so our goalie didn’t have a save to make.

“The subs who came on and really helped push us over the line.

“We’ve been due a bit of luck of late as our results haven’t justified our performances.

“We’re hoping the boys can kick on from here with another big game next week away to Kinnoull.

“Me and John are delighted for the players.”
