The Glens secured their second win of the season with a comfortable victory over Perth side Jeanfield Swifts.

John Martin’s cross was met by Craig Patterson after just nine minutes and he finished well to open the scoring.

The Glens continued to pressure the Jeanfield defence and doubled their advantage when another cross by Martin was headed in by Johnny McCrae.

Jeanfield fought back with a goal when Frazer Mills was able to tap in from close range.

The Glens restored their two goal lead when Martin netted.

In addition to controlling the game, the Glens also limited the Jeanfield attack to speculative long shots early that didn’t trouble the Glens keeper Jamie Roberts.

As the game entered injury time Glenrothes scored a fourth when a corner form Lee Celentano was headed down by Scott Napier to the goal line before substitute Callum Wylie flicked it into the back of the net with the final kick of the match.

Glenrothes’ next game is versus Kinnoull on Saturday at Warout Stadium with a 2.30p.m. kick-off.
