The game, played at Stark’s Park, saw Scott Russell net early on for Glens.

But the local side couldn’t kick on against decent opposition and it was St Cadocs who went out to close the game comfortably.

Glens co-manager Kevin Smith told the club’s official website afterwards: “Myself and John (Martin, fellow co-manager) are not kidding ourselves on, St Cadocs were a good team and deserved the win.

“However we competed well but for all the hard work we put in to be undone by four crosses was very disappointing.”

Glens currently sit ninth in the First Division Conference B.

Glenrothes make a return to league duty this Saturday when they host Peebles Rovers.
