Good performances but manager still wants more
The new season is only just under way but Saints are already sharing the East Premier League lead with Sauchie, who have a game in hand.
Manager Ian Barrett said he was happy with how things had gone so far – but there was still room for improvement.

Tomorrow (Saturday), Saints are at home to basement side Dundee Violet.
They have only one draw to their credit and are still without a win – but Barrett knows they are formidable oppostion.
“They have been very unlucky with a couple of their results, so they will be trying to change their fortunes,” he said. “Every team is capable of taking points off each other, especially at this stage of the season, so we need to keep going the way we have started.”

But, he added, he had no major problems and expected to have a full squad of 20 from which to choose. Last Saturday’s fine victory at Bathgate was preceded by a 2-0 midweek win for Saints at Glenrothes.
