Hearts were dealt a blow when a ligament injury to Scott McKay forced the visitors to put on their only substitute with only half an hour played.

But it was the substitute Lee Sibanda who set up the opening goal three minutes later when his low cross found Frankie Bell who fired in.

Cupar took their lead into the break knowing that one goal wouldn’t be enough and eight minutes into the second half the game was level.

Max McCarroll’s run up the left wing cut in to square the ball to Calum Gordon who made no mistake.

Hearts quickly regained their lead in spectacular fashion.

Gary Brown stepped up and converted the spot kick.

The home side were reduced to 10 men on 87 minutes when Naveed Iqbal was given his marching orders.
