‘Port, for their part, have been on a positive run of late and player-boss John Ovenstone will be hoping to see his charges repeat the same level of performance and tenacity which saw them defeat Forfar West End last weekend.

“It was a massive three points,” declared Ovenstone.

“I was proud of every single player.

“It was an outstanding result and it showed that we’re getting the best out of the players.

“Once we got to grips with how West End were playing, we were the better team and played with confidence.

“Credit to Steve Kerrigan and Jim Moffat for making the tactical changes which paid dividends.”

Ovenstone himself did not have the best of afternoons, being sent off after less than half an hour.

“I must hold my hands up and apologise for my red card.

“In fairness, it was the right decision and the players dug me out of a hole with their positive performance.”

Kieran Conway, Scott McDowell and Alan Tulleth may return.
