Wether it’s Chris Duggan, Jamie Insall or Jordan Austin leading the line, Curran, signed by the Fifers before last week’s league match at Alloa, wants to be the man to be providing the assists.

The 20-year-old Australian did just that at the weekend, his pin point delivery being lashed home on the volley by Chris Duggan for East Fife’s opener against Albion Rovers.

It’s a role he’s happy to play.

“We have a lot of class players at East Fife who have played at a high level.

“I was linking up well with them.

“The way the boys play is short and sharp which suits me.

“I just want to whip the ball in the box and it was some finish from Chris.”

Curran is delighted to be learning his trade at Bayview.

“The boys have all made me really welcome,” he said.

“Livingston on Saturday will be a tough game but we’ll give them a run for their money.”
