Insall didn't hesitate to move to Bayview

Jamie Insall says he's delighted to be back in the black and gold after he made his return to East Fife for a second loan spell.

Gary Naysmith swooped to bring in the Hibs striker on transfer deadline day as he looked to bolster a squad hit by injury.

Insall, of course, played a huge part in last season’s League Two win and snubbed interest from other clubs once he heard the Fifers were interested again.

He said: “It wasn’t a difficult decision to make.

“As soon as I knew East Fife were on the table for me it was a no-brainer.

“This year I wanted to experience League One if I want to play for Hibs.

“There were five or six offers from League Two which I turned down.”

With the majority of last season’s squad still at Bayview, Insall won’t have any difficulty settling in.

“The newer players that I didn’t know probably made me feel more welcome than those who I did know,” joked the striker.

“I knew what I was coming to and I know what the management team here expect.

“I just want to kick on now and the players have been awesome since I’ve been back.”

Insall made his second debut for the Methil men at the weekend as they departed the Irn-Bru Cup at the hands of fellow League One side Alloa Athletic.

“With respect, if Alloa are the best team in the league then East Fife don’t have a lot to worry about,” said Insall.

“When we gel things will go our way. We lost 3-0 but missed a penalty and missed chances.

“It was pretty even.”
