Several youngsters who have taken part in coaching camps, or played with one of the club’s various age groups, have developed into promising players a few years later, the organisation giving them a platform to progress as players.

Chief among them is Dundee United striker Louis Appéré, the Dunshalt 22-year-old a staple in the Tannadice club’s Premiership first team.

Appéré famously spent time training with Italian giants Roma as a teenager before making the grade with United.

Another to try his luck abroad after learning the game with AM Soccer is Scott Wilson, a former player who has recently signed with American National Premier Soccer League side Duluth FC.

The Minnesota based club have signed Scott for the season, once he finishes his studies at the University of Wisconsin.

Proud AM Soccer are delighted to see another of their former players take the next step of their career in the game.

The club said: “Scott began with AM Soccer Club at our soccer school sessions before progressing all the way through our pathway of team football, experiencing additional programmes such as the pro youth experience.

"He then decided to pursue an opportunity studying and playing in the United States on a soccer scholarship in 2017, which is something we support and connect our players with if that’s what they would like to pursue.

"This is a good move for Scott to continue playing and developing in the USA as he joins the 2018 Midwest Regional champions.”

The next Louis Appéré or Scott Wilson may well have been part of AM Soccer’s holiday camps.

The most recent camp has just finished, with countless youngsters enjoying the best of coaching from the Cupar group.

The club added: “What a send off we had as we brought this week’s camp to a close in the beautiful spring sunshine.

"Well done to every single player over the five days.

"It was hands down one of the most enjoyable camps to date and we can’t wait to see you all the players again at the next one.”
