Double delight as Glens add two

Glenrothes FC have been wasting little time in putting together their squad for the new season.

While the next East of Scotland Football League campaign is still some way from starting, the club’s co-managers, John Martin and Kevin Smith, have been busy adding some quality to their squad.

The club has announced that former East Fife and St Andrews United forward Dylan Honeyman will return to the Warout.

Joining Honeyman in next season’s squad will be defender Cameron Lumsden.

The co-managers said: “We are delighted to add Cammy to the squad.

"Cammy has a good pedigree, playing at several senior clubs.

"We’ve been looking at him for a few years now and its great to now have him signed for the club.”

Honeyman has been a regular for St Andrews United for the past couple of seasons with both Martin and Smith keen to bring him back to the Glens where he spent a spell in 2015.

“We are happy to make another addition to the squad,” the co-managers told the Glenrothes FC website.

"It’s great to welcome Dylan back to Glenrothes, he will add depth to the squad and competition to the attacking options.

"He’s itching to get back playing and we look forward to seen him back in a Glens jersey at Warout.”

Over at Kennoway Star Hearts, boss Lee Richardson has been equally busy.

The EoSFL club have also been putting pieces together ahead of next season.

Craig Wallace has committed to the club for the 2021/22 campaign.

Goalkeeper Calum Brodie and forward Lee Bryce have done likewise.

The Treaton Park side said: “Lee Bryce has extended his stay for another season, he’s currently the longest serving player at the club and always willing to help out in any role required by the management on or off the field.

"Craig Wallace is another important part of the club’s defensive line has signed for the season 21-22.

"Consistency of selection in the defensive areas is key at any level of football and the management are delighted to get all of the rear guard committed for next season.

"Calum is another to commit for season 21-22 is a character in and around the club.”
