Glenrothes boss delighted after raising over £1200 for charity
The Glenrothes FC manager wanted to raise £300 by completing the fundraiser which sees those taking part run 56 miles across February.

Hide AdBut that target was swiftly blown out of the water by generous donations and, at the time of writing, over £1200 had been raised.
Martin thanked all of those who had put their hand in their pocket for the cause.
He said: “All the toots while out pounding the tarmac was motivating and pushed me to keep going.

Hide Ad"Every day there were different things challenging me, whether that be the horrendous weather at the start of the month, my body suffering with aches and pains or just lack of motivation.
"My biggest thank you has to go to my wife, Leanne, and son Reo who have been my rock through it all.
"For me to achieve this makes me really proud.”
At the start of the challenge Martin conceded that running was far from his favourite way to spend his time.

Hide AdBut he admitted the charity was one close to his heart, providing that little extra motivation to complete the challenge.
"I appreciate being given this opportunity to raise money and run for those who have suffered, and are suffering, from this cruel illness,” added the former East Fife and Raith Rovers striker.
"Please, if you’re thinking of doing something like this, go for it, it gives you so much satisfaction and pride.
"So far I’ve raised £1200 which I am absolutely overwhelmed and delighted with.
"I genuinely can’t thank everyone who has donated enough and supported me the whole way through.”
