In little under four months, Steve Clarke’s Scotland will be lining up for their first appearance at a major tournament in 23 years as they gear up to face Czech Republic in Euro 2020’s Group D.
This week, many Scots’ thoughts have surrounded if they’ll be able to attend the tournament and, if so, how many of the Tartan Army will be allowed in watch their beloved national team in the flesh due to Covid-19 restrictions.
However, for a particular batch of up and coming Scottish footballers, their thoughts will be centred on making sure their end of season form sees them sneak into manager Steve Clarke’s thinking, as the 57-year-old Scotland boss begins to see his 23-man squad shape up.
So, without further ado, let’s look at 10 uncapped Scottish players who’ll hope they’ll be able to make a late dash into Steve Clarke’s Euro 2020 squad.

. Billy Gilmour - midfield (Chelsea)
Quite possibly the most talented young Scottish player around at the moment, the former Rangers academy product has struggled for game time at Chelsea this year since returning from injury. However, if Scotland are looking to make a mark on this year's European Championships, Steve Clarke must surely be tempted to include this talented young man. Photo: Contributed

. Lewis Ferguson - midfield (Aberdeen)
Many are surprised that the young Aberdeen midfielder hasn't been given a chance in the national squad already after becoming a shining light in a disappointing season at Pittodrie. He's already got eight goals from midfield this season and is another that Steve Clarke may not be able to ignore. Photo: Alan Harvey/SNS

9. Ross Stewart - striker (Sunderland)
Admittedly, any inclusion of the former Ross County striker would be a surprise, however, he is due back from injury in the coming weeks for his new club Sunderland who, after being taken over by Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, are on the crest of a wave at the moment as they push for promotion to the English Championship. If he is able to hit the ground running at his new club, there's no reason he couldn't grab Steve Clarke's attention. Photo: Contributed

10. Ross McCrorie - defence/midfield (Aberdeen)
Like his brother Robby, he has represented throughout the youth levels, captained the Scotland under-21 squad on numerous occasion. His shock move to Aberdeen has paid dividends for him, with the versatile former Rangers academy product proving to be one of Aberdeen's outstanding performers this term, alongside Lewis Ferguson. Able to play at centre back, central midfield and right back, his versatility could see Steve Clarke include him in his 23 man squad. Photo: Craig Foy/SNS
