Thornton Hibs, Kennoway Star Hearts and Glenrothes had their games postponed following downpours across this part of the country.

Glens were scheduled to take to the pitch again on Tuesday night, though, travelling to meet Heriot Watt University at the Oriam.

They then host Easthouses Lily at the weekend.

Glens told fans: “Unfortunately still no spectators are allowed and we still aren’t opening the hub.

“But we will get the game live on Facebook Live and highlights on our YouTube channel.”

Hibs were scheduled to play Rutherglen at the weekend but when a 9am Saturday morning pitch inspection was called the signs were ominous.

The game was called off but Hibs were also due to play last night (Tuesday), travelling to Dunipace.

On Saturday Thornton travel to meet Edinburgh United.

The club has also announced that goalkeeper Andrew Warrender has been released from his contract at his own request.

Warrender made 22 appearances for the Hibs and kept seven clean sheets.

A waterlogged pitch put an end to Kennoway Star Hearts’ hopes of getting a win over Dunpiace.

Kennoway have won two and lost one of their opening three games, making an impressive start to the new campaign.

Up next for them is a trip to face Ormiston on Saturday.

Star’s hosts have played two games, at the time of writing, opening their league season with one victory and a defeat.
