The team narrowly pipped a very strong Beath High School team to the title in a final fixture played at Auchmuty High School.

Goals from Callum Houston and Matthew Porteus were the difference in the deciding fixture.

Both teams then faced off again at Central Park, the home of Cowdenbeath Football Club, in the showpiece Fife Cup Final.

Goals from Kieran Fox and Jack Jones saw Bell Baxter win the game 2-0.

Goalkeeper Robbie Wishart was in excellent form, and with the help of a resolute back four, kept the lively Beath strike force at bay all game.

Bell Baxter’s victory is the first time they have lifted the trophy since 1999.

This caps off a wonderful season for the senior squad, who also narrowly missed out on a place in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup going down 4-3 in a game away to eventual finalists Bannerman HS.

PE teacher David Lowrie said: “This is a particularly talented and committed group of players who have always impressed at their respective age groups as they progressed through the school.”
