“It’s a great opportunity for me, getting an education as well as playing football at the same time,” he said.
“It’s a bit sad to be leaving. I’ve supported the club since I was born because my dad did as well so it’s sad to be moving on, but sometimes things have to happen.
“I’ve always been keen on sport, it’s a big part of my life so this will give me a few options.”

“I felt like I played well when I came into the first team,” he said, “I took my chance and enjoyed every minute of it. I cherished it all.
“It was brilliant every time I played.”
Before he heads for Canada, Watson had a parting message for the Raith Rovers faithful.
“I want to think all the supporters for getting behind me for the four years I was there.
“I loved every minute of it and I’ll miss coming to the stadium and I’m sure I’ll be back for a game at some point.”
