John McGlynn's Raith Rovers signings - first time around

John McGlynn
John McGlynn's first spell in charge at Raith Rovers from November 2006 lasted nearly six years. We look at some of the signings he made during that spell.
McGlynn left Stark's Park to become manager at Hearts in June 2012. He returned for a second spell at Rovers in September of last year.
One of McGlynn's early signings. Hislop spent two seasons at Stark's Park and was part of the side which won the Second Division title in 2009. Left to join Arbroath that same year.
Joined from rivals Dunfermline initially on loan before making his move permanent in July 2007. A popular player with the Rovers faithful, the right back moved to Forfar in 2011.
Initially a loan signing from Livingston, Walker made the move permanent in 2008 and was part of the Second Division winning side in 2009. Left for Brechin in 2013.
The diminutive forward signed from Queen Of The South and spent four years at Rovers before moving to Brechin in 2011.
Midfielder Sloan scored 17 goals in a three year spell at Stark's Park after joining from Alloa in 2007. He left to join East Fife.
One of the most popular players to sign for the club in recent times. Keeper McGurn would go on to be awarded a testimonial and a place in the club's Hall of Fame.
Striker Wales spent one season at Rovers after signing a short term deal from Kilmarnock in 2008. He returned for a second spell in 2011.
McGlynn brought Ellis back for the last of his three spells at Rovers in 2008. The popular defender was awarded a testimonial in 2012 and became the club's assistant manager under Ray McKinnon until the pair left for Dundee United in 2016.
Midfielder Simmons joined from Queen Of The South in 2008 and made 60 appearances in the Raith Rovers shirt before returning to Dumfries in 2011.
After signing from Fife rivals Cowdenbeath in 2009, Hill became a mainstay of the side for the next six years. He was named 'Man of the Match' when Rovers lifted the Ramsdens Cup in 2014. Now playing for Brechin.
Murray joined the Rovers defence in 2009 and would go on to become the team's player manager in 2012. Was in the hot seat for the Ramsdens Cup triumph but left after a bad run of results in 2015.
A striker of many clubs, Tade spent two seasons at Stark's Park between 2009 and 2011 scoring 13 goals before moving on to Inverness Caley Thistle.
Striker Mole only made 16 appearances for the club in two short, back-to-back loan spells from Hearts in 2010. Played in Scottish Cup semi-final against Dundee United.
The last of defender Andrews' three spells at Rovers came when McGlynn signed him on a short term deal to help secure the Second Division title in 2009. Club legend Andrews is an inductee of the club's Hall of Fame.
Goalkeeper McNeil didn't have the best of times during his one season in Kirkcaldy. He moved on after just 16 appearances to join Livingston at the beginning of the 2011-12 season.
