It’s second round of the East of Scotland Cup for both Thornton Hibs and Glenrothes Juniors this weekend, with the former looking to make amends for a heavy defeat last Saturday.

Hibs will want to avoid going out of two cup competitions in a week, following a 5-0 drubbing in the Fife and Lothians Cup to Linlithgow Rose, though they face another tricky away tie, this time to Dundee East Craigie.

The Glens will go into their home tie against East Superleague opposition Carnoustie Panmure bolstered by an excellent away league point from third-place Dalkeith Thistle and will fancy taking something from the match, as Carnoustie are having a poor season, with just nine points from 15 games leaving them second bottom of the table.

Meanwhile, Kennoway Star Hearts travel to Lochee Harp on league business bolstered by a 7-1 victory at Lochore last week.
