This week’s fixture saw KSH host the East Lothian side as they both looked to get back to winning ways after losing their last game a fortnight previously.

Tranent started on the front foot and they took the lead inside the ninth minute with a move that swept from left to right and a simple pass across the goalmouth allowing their striker the simplest of tasks knocking the ball home from a few yards out.

KSH were rocked by the lightening start to the game by the visitors and a further blow arrived just before the twentieth minute when an uncharacteristic error from home ‘keeper Paterson as he spilled a cross allowing McGrath the chance to prod the ball into the net.

The visitors who came close again with Paterson making up for his earlier error with a stunning piece of goalkeeping that had both sets of supporters applauding.

The main threat was midfielder C Gay who saw a long range effort tipped around the post to safety then moments later a well timed run from deep into the box as he tried to slide onto a pass from Partridge.

The two goal lead allowed the away side to sit in and contain as the frustration was evident from the home side.

Tranent were looking dangerous on the break and a dramatic headed clearance from Doig prevented Smith a goal as the ex East Fife man smashed in a shot from twenty yards.

M.Gay then collected a pass from Band but again his effort on goal reaped no reward for the home side.

A accomplished performance from Tranent saw a third goal after Paterson again came to the rescue when he somehow saved a point blank header but could do nothing as the rebound was swept home from a yard out.
