YM had to dig deep once again to beat a determined Falkirk Juniors side in this Scottish Junior Cup replay.

The clubs once again shared a further six goals following last weeks similar scoreline at Denfield Park.

Elder was on the scoresheet after 10 minutes, and from the kick off Andy Wilson added a second.

Martin Ure reduced the leeway on the 17th minute.

Completely against the run of play Falkirk drew level in the 60th minute through Hayden Cochrane.

Connor Schiavone turned in a cross ball to give the YM the lead.

The Kirkcaldy side could not see out the game and Martin Ure equalised to send the game into a penalty kick shoot out.

Both sides missed two penalties each in the regulation five, and in the sudden death it was YM keeper Chris Gay who scored the winner.

This weekend YM travel to Livingston United.

Sadly Thornton Hibs were unable to join to YMCA in the next round of the cup.

There will be no open top bus parade after Hibs lost their replay 2-0 on their home patch against Vale of Leven.

This weekend Hibs travel to Dundee North End.

Dundonald Bluebell travelled to Blackburn United in the Fife and Lothian’s Cup First Round, returning with a 3-2 win.

A Morrison brace was added to by a late Young effort a minute into time added on.

With the tie looking as if it was going to head to a penalty shoot-out, Young popped up to ensure that the tie went the way of the Bluebell.

This weekend Dundonald face West Calder.
