The loan arrangement will run until mid January.

The 6ft 2in front man is 25 years old, and signed for Livi in August after playing in the German regional leagues for Bonner SC and SV Rödinghausen amongst others.

Assistant Manager Paul Smith told www.raithrovers.net: “Lars signing strengthens our options up front in the time that he will be with us, and with Grant Anderson moving on to Kelty we felt it was the right time to bring a player in to the squad.

“Lars has the physical attributes that we look for in a player – he is good in the air, has an eye for goal and he will give us options that will work well in conjunction with Manny Duku and the rest of our forward thinking players.

On behalf of myself, manager John McGlynn and the football club I’d like to place on record our thanks to Dave Martindale of Livingston for his assistance and co-operation in arranging this loan deal”.

Speaking to the club’s website Lokotsch said signing for the club is part of his development.

"I would like to prove myself in Scotland,” he said, “I think it’s a great opportunity for me.

"The loan business is good for Raith Rovers and for me – it’s a win-win situation.

"I saw Raith’s last two games and to be honest I like what I saw. I saw an ambitious club and an ambitious young team that tried to play very good football.

"Scottish football is very physical so that’s why I think it’s a good fit for me. It’s a different kind of football from Germany, but I like it.”
