Kirkcaldy YM finished their East Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win away at Dundee Violet - a result which should see them stave off the threat of relegation.
YM made the break though eight minutes from the interval when Stevie Forbes scored.
Victory was secured when Sean O’Neil made no mistake with a spot kick, to send the YM players and supporters home happy with the victory and three points.
It will now be a wait to see the outcome of the remaining fixtures involving other sides in the relegation dog fight.
It was the proverbial game of two halves as Thornton Hibs saw off Lochore Welfare 3-1.
Hibs blew Lochore away in the first-half and took a 3-0 interval lead but they should be thankful that the referee didn’t apply the ‘three corners a penalty’ rule as the visitors turned the screw in the second 45.
Thornton went ahead in the 16th minute through Chris Ireland before Adam Drummond made it two.
The third goal came just three minutes later when Aiden Gordon coolly clipped past Gary Inglis.
Despite having the Hibs on the back foot for long periods of the second-half, Lochore only found the net once when Kevin Goodwin netted.
Thornton entertain Kennoway Star Hearts on Saturday, kick-off 2.30 p.m.
