Mr More has replaced Bill Harvey who has retired having been in the role since last August.

Having supported the club for around 45 years, his earliest memories include standing in the ‘cowshed’ with his Dad and Granddad watching his boyhood heroes who included Malky Robertson, Gordon Wallace, Brian Cooper and Murray McDermott.

Mr More is well know at the club, having attended hundreds of games home and away, and has attended numerous functions, and fundraising events.

He also volunteered in assisting the club with their ground safety inspection, Covid compliance and the installation of the new CCTV system.

Speaking to the club’s website, the former police officer said it was a privilege to take on his new role.

"A lot of work has been taking place behind the scenes and I’m sure the fans will be excited when they see the changes,” he said.

“Further work is ongoing including marketing and online match ticket purchase which will all be announced in due course.

“It’s a pity that the fans have not been able to see the current exciting crop of players at the club live, who are arguably the best team we have had in living memory.

“Hopefully, it won’t be long in allowing fans back into Stark’s Park even with a limited number of spectators.

“I was never quite good enough to play for the Rovers, so being the General Manager is the next best thing.”

He added: "I am delighted and privileged to undertake this role”.
