The new design was revealed last week with the kit going on sale on Friday and already over 400 fans have snapped up their very own copy.

Raith chairman Bill Clark said he was “delighted” with the response and thanked the fans for their backing.

“We’ve already sold over 400 copies of the 2020/21 kit,” he said.

“That’s brought in something like £22,000 just over the weekend alone.

“They only went on sale last Friday.

“We are really, really grateful to the fans again for stepping up to the plate by showing their support by buying the new strips.

“It’s really good news, both for the supporters and the club.

“It’s one of the best strip launches we’ve ever had - even though it was virtual!”

The kit, sponsored by Val McDermid and Carr’s Flour Mills, was the first to be released by Rovers new supplier Joma.

Mr Clark said he was happy that the new top has proved to be a hit with the Rovers support.

“It means we can now be a bit adventurous in our strip design in years to come now we have teamed up with Joma,” he said.

The kit is available to order online at the Raith Rovers website - raithrovers.myshopify.com.
