The gaffer is delighted with his signings, the first of which announced by the club is Tijan Nyass who played at Kinnoull last season.

Nyass is a strong midfielder and has the qualities that manager Hudson is looking for in his side.

“We have had an eye on Tijan for some time, he is the type of player I like in the middle of the park,” said the manager.

“He protects the ball well and has a really good engine.

“I am sure he will enjoy his time with us and we can’t wait to see him in action for Newburgh.”

Also joining is Aaron Leadbetter.

Leadbetter is making the step up from the amateur ranks having been a mainstay in the Cupar Hearts side for the past five seasons.

A wiley defender, Leadbetter had been in the gaffer’s sights for some time and the club says it is delighted to welcome him into the ‘Burgh squad.

Hudson said: “I have managed Aaron before so I know what I will get from him.

“He is a strong character on the park and will be one of the leaders in the team.

“He defends well and can play football going forwards so he will fit perfectly into our squad.”

Signing number three came on Tuesday afternoon with Connor Murdoch signing on at the club.

Connor steps into the Newburgh squad from the top Fife amateur side Bowhill Rovers.

Hudson had been trying to tempt him to the ‘Burgh for some time.

The manager said:“Connor played for me at Strathmiglo United and I have tried previously to temp him to Newburgh.
