Newburgh were holding the majority of possession but they could not craft any clear cut chances in front of goal.

It was the visitors who took the lead in the 23rd minute with Henderson driving in on goal at the angle giving himself space to smash a shot into the net across the face of goal.

Newburgh were not playing cohesively and were really struggling to create anything resembling the form they had been showing recently. Craig Robinson and Jack Cowan playing in the wide area of midfield were finding themselves isolated when they collected possession.

The equalising goal arrived in the 48th minute when Kyle Fraser picked up a header from Sam Kirkham to slot the ball under MacArthur.

With the game stretched and becoming more and more fractious Newburgh lost possession in the midfield giving Coleman time to pick a pass to Henderson who slipped a lovely weighted pass through to Sneddon who had continued his run into the box. The Linlithgow midfielder was composed enough to lift the ball over the advancing Sutherland.

With half an hour to play Newburgh took the game to the visitors attacking in numbers to try and drag themselves back into the game. Half chances fell to Scott Sutherland and Harry Galloway but there appeared to be no way through the organised defence.
