For the second week in a row KSH had a home league fixture, this time Bathgate Thistle were the visitors.

Bathgate looked dangerous in the opening exchanges with Jaconelli and Feeney proving to be a lively front pairing for the back three of KSH.

Kennoway Star Hearts were looking to get a foothold into the game and it was the willingness of Band to chase lost causes that helped create the opener.

The striker chased down a through ball and got between Nyang and McQullian , the latter came off his goal line and collided with the KSH front man.

The referee deemed it was inside the penalty area and also a red card offence for the Bathgate `keeper.

Band stepped up to take the penalty and he took it with confidence as the ball rocketed into the top corner for the opening goal.

The home support were hoping this goal and the extra man advantage would settle the team but the opposite happened with Bathgate levelling just five minutes later.

A hopeful ball was launched into the penalty area into a ruck of players,Sutherland came off his line to try and punch clear only to see the ball drop to Jaconelli who showed composure as he sidestepped a tackle to slide the ball in from ten yards.

Just as KSH looked to be finally adjusting against the ten men and gaining more possession they were hit with a sucker punch.

A goal kick was pounced on and a fast passing move saw Jaconelli left with the simple task of knocking the ball into the unguarded net.

Gray and the defender collided on the edge of the 18 yard line, the referee awarded a free kick to KSH in what was a dangerous position.

Band was the player who again had the confidence to take the set piece as he guided in a measured shot, the ball beat the outstretched ar of Bathgate`s `keeper only to crash back of the post.

The ever alert Shaw left a trail of defenders on his heels as he cracked a vicious effort into the net.

Despite the efforts there were no further goals and both teams had to settle for a point apiece.
