The away side seemed to have settled to the overhead conditions as they launched their first attack with Collins showing some fine individual play before firing in a low shot that was beaten away.

The pressure was mounting and a Bryce cross fell to Watson who saw his curling effort touched onto the crossbar by Beveridge.

Mansouri brought out a save again by the over worked home ‘keeper, then in a quick counter Ormiston broke up the field and had their best passage of play in the half. Fine link up play by Hunter and Underhill saw them get behind the back line only to be thwarted by a last gasp block by skipper Griffin.

KSH were soon back on the front foot and Collins had another positive run when he beat his marker on the by-line cutting the ball back into the feet of Bryce who again saw his shot saved by an inspired goalkeeper.

The breakthrough arrived in the 36th minute when an in-swinging corner by Watson was powered towards goal by the head of Balmer, almost instinctively defender Fairnie palmed the ball over the bar for a stonewall penalty and ultimately a red card. Bryce stepped up to the spot and made no mistake sending Beveridge the wrong way.

The second half started with Watson almost extending the home side’s lead when his cross deceived the keeper and hit the top of the crossbar.

The second goal was not far away, Mansouri picked up a clever channel on the right before Balmer slipped the ball to him, the young striker fired in a fierce shot that Beveridge spilled, first on hand was Balmer as he picked his spot with a fine header.

Job done and points in the bag when Balmer topped a man of the match performance chasing down a lost cause forcing the keeper into an error before calmly slotting home from an acute angle.
