Rovers extended their lead two minutes after the restart and it was Lee Allan on target for his and Rovers’ second when he beat his marker and curled the ball into the net.

Rovers gave themselves further breathing space on 55 minutes when they got their third goal of the game.

Allan’s shot beat the keeper but came back off the upright and into the path of David Wilson, who tapped the ball home from close range.

AM grabbed what proved to be a consolation goal with 20 minutes remaining after their forward eluded several challenges and squeezed the ball past Barclay to make the final score 1-3 to the visitors.

This Saturday Rovers are back on league duty as they travel west to take on Valleyfield at 2.00pm.
