The two have been using their spare time while on lockdown to put together and launch a podcast, Glory Days of Gold, dedicated to the Bayview club.

Fans have welcomed it while former players and those associated with the Fifers are lining up to share their memories.

Lee, from Glenrothes, said: “The idea came from lockdown boredom.

“I listen to Peter Crouch’s podcast as well as a few others and I just thought how cool an East Fife one would be.

“I shared the idea on social media and my friend Michael McColl got in touch.

“He emigrated to Canada but hosts a podcast over here and then offered to help.

“It gathered pace fairly quickly from there.”

Despite being on the other side of the world from each other, Lee and Michael have been able to arrange things between them, using Skype and Zoom to record.

The first edition is already out there, an interview with former Fife striker Paul McManus.

“The feedback has been excellent,” added Lee

“In our second week we have over 600 downloads.

“We had our first player interview with Paul McManus which was absolutely hilarious and good to have a modern day Fife Legend to kick us off.

“We’ve got a fair few guests lined up already.

“This week we have Gary Naysmith, and coming up we have Tam McManus, Kenny Deuchar, David Muir, Bobby Linn and Aaron Dunsmore who have all agreed to come on.” You can listen on Spotify, Apple podcasts, Podbean and find links on twitter @podcast_ef or Facebook by searching glory days of gold.
