Rovers travelled to Burntisland to play United in a Premier League game.

Rovers started the game well and they made a couple of good chance in the first 15 minutes with a shot by Jock Calcutt which whistled past.

They came even closer when Neale Smith hit the post.

Rovers went ahead when strong play by Marc Cameron won the ball midway in the United half and he fired in a great shot into the corner of the net from around 30 yards. The home side responded with an attack down the left and a shot from the edge of the box which went wide.

Burntisland scored the equaliser with a few minutes of the first half remaining when they were awarded a corner and it was headed home at the past post.

With the second half just eight minutes old, Pittenweem created a good move down the left and Mike Gardner crossed it over for Liam McGhee who volleyed just wide.

Marc Cameron almost scored a second goal for the Rovers after around 20 minutes when Alex Bowman laid the ball off to him and he produced another great shot from around 30 yards - but this time the United ‘keeper made a great save.

Following another save by the United from a James Ketchen shot, Rovers went ahead again after 24 minutes when Jock Calcutt delivered a dangerous ball into the box, and it was met by David Wilson at the back post who guided the ball into the net.

With only one minute left, the home side grabbed their equaliser when they broke down the right hand side, the ball was crossed in and it was unfortunately put in to the home net by a Rovers defender.
