Raith add Scotland U-21 star to squad

Raith Rovers have announced another addition to their squad ahead of the start of pre-season training on Monday.

Defender Kevin McHattie (22) has signed on at Stark’s Park on a one year deal.

The former Hearts and Kilmarnock star, who has also earned six Scotland Under 21 caps, previously worked under manager Gary Locke at both of these clubs, making a total of 93 appearances in the Premiership.

Commenting on the signing on the Raith website, Locke said, “I’m very pleased to be able to bring Kevin in. I know exactly what he’s capable of and it’s great we’ve been able to get him signed because I know he’s decided to come to us despite considerable interest from other top clubs.”
