Raith reveal early bird season ticket prices

In a new twist, there are now two categories of season ticket - standard or premium - while for the first time fans can choose to pay in instalments over the duration of the season.

A new discounted rate has also been introduced for full-time students over the age of 16 - including those in secondary or further education.

Standard season tickets, which are for league games only, are available at an early bird rate of: adults - £240; senior citizens - £120; students - £160; juniors - £50.

Premium season tickets, which include league games and all cup ties except any Scottish Cup quarter-final, are available at an early bird rate of: adults - £270; senior citizens - £135; students - £180; juniors - £50.

These early bird prices only apply from Tuesday, April 19 until Saturday, May 7, after which time they will be increased depending on Raith’s progress in the play-offs.

Full price season tickets will be: adult - £270 standard, £300 premium; senior citizen - £135 standard, £150 premium; student - £180 standard, £200 premium; junior - £50.

Raith chief executive Eric Drysdale explained: “We’ve tried to come up with packages that suit every pocket.

“We’ve tried to cater for students, and for people who have limited available income, who want a season ticket but have to pay for summer holidays as well. They can now spread their payments over the season.

“There’s great momentum at the club just now and who knows where it might lead to but even if we’re still in the Championship next season we know that Ray McKinnon has already got foundations for next season’s team in place.

“We’re looking forward to next season already and we hope as many supporters as possible will want to be part of it.”

Explaining the pricing structure, Drysdale added: “There will be extra home games next season due to espnasions of League Cup so that has to be reflected in prices. That’s why we’ve introduced a standard and premium ticket.

“With the premium ticket you’re guaranteed an extra two games, although there could be as many as 10 depending on how far we progress in cups, and the luck of the draw.

“These are Championship prices which will be revised in an upwards direction in the event we are promoted to the Premier League.”

Meanwhile, BBC Alba’s decision to screen the Falkirk match at Stark’s Park on Saturday, April 23 and the subsequent change of kick-off time to 5.15 pm has promoted Rovers to reduce admission prices.

Adult price will drop from £18 to £15 with concessions going from £9 to £5.

In addition, any adult season ticket holder will be able to bring a friend to the match for a tenner.

Drysdale added: “We hope this will encourage a healthy attendance for our final home league game.

“The change to kick-off has disrupted our Player of the Year awards at Dean Park Hotel and match hospitality but we just have to get on with it.”
