Raith Rovers focused solely on Dumbarton ahead of midweek Falkirk clash

Raith Rovers travel to Dumbarton today with a near enough fully fit squad, minus long-term absentees Lewis Vaughan and Lewis Allan.

The Kirkcaldy side then host title rivals Falkirk in a rearranged top of the table clash at Stark’s Park on Tuesday night.

All of McGlynn’s focus, however, is on the next match and making amends for the home defeat to the Sons in December.

“We have to respect Dumbarton,” he said.

“We’ve had two difficult games, a 1-0 win there on the first day of the season and they won at Stark’s Park, when we were at our weakest all season.

“We relish the opportunity to make amends for that. We’re going there with a strong squad available and looking to keep this run going.

“This quarter has been very good for us, sitting on 17 points with two games to go.

“We took 19 points in the first quarter, so there’s an opportunity to better that.”

McGlynn is likely to make changes to his starting 11 after the impact of substitutes Dan Armstrong, Tony Dingwall and Brad Spencer in the win over Clyde.

“We had that ammunition on the bench to come on and give us something different, and that ultimately got us the goal,” he said.

“Everyone has been training really well and having almost everyone fit has upped the ante.

“These guys know that, when they come on the pitch, they have to make an impact, or the guys that have been doing the business get picked the following week.

“If you want to get in that starting 11, then you’ve got to come on and make an impact and that’s what they did on Saturday.”
