Raith Rovers’ fundraising drive pushing towards £50k target
As it stands the club had made it 93 per cent of the way, raising £46,650 with 777 supporters making donations.
In addition, an auction for Chris Silvestro’s Second Division league winners medal from season 2008-09 fetched a whopping winning bid of £1220.99.

“Thanks to everyone also for their kind words over the last week. Mon the Rovers.”
A number of other fundraising initiatives by the various supporters clubs and individuals have resulted in over £5000 being paid directly in the club bank account.
In addition, Rovers supporter Ruaridh Kilgour’s ‘Donate a Ticket’ campaign has so far contributed £3200 – and counting.

Hide AdSupporters director Andy Mill has been co-ordinating the fundraising effort.
“I have been humbled by the many messages of support by those who have contributed,” he said.
“No matter how large or small the amount, every donation is very gratefully received.
“From the young lad who chipped in two pounds from his pocket money to the pensioner who sent a cheque for two thousand pounds, and everyone else in between, I thank you all for your generosity and for caring so passionately about our club.”

“Unfortunately, the most recent government advice would indicate that this situation will be with us for the foreseeable future and we will need your support to get us through this crisis,” he added.
“If you can afford to donate then please do.”
