The Binos currently sit in second equal spot in the League Two table but despite the large gap between the two sides, manager John McGlynn says the tie will be “a tricky one”.

He said: “The draw could have been kinder to us but at the same time it could have been much harder as well.

“Stirling are doing particularly well in League Two and they've brought in some good players.

“Andy Ryan is a Championship player playing in League Two. He's a very good player.

“He was at Dunfermline at the beginning of last season then went out on loan to Airdrie and did very well, so Stirling have done very well to get him.

“They've got some good players in and are going along very nicely this season.

“We're going away from home so you can never take anything for granted.

“We'll do our due diligence and go over things regarding Stirling Albion as we would do if we were playing Hearts or Dunfermline or anyone else for that matter.

“We will give them respect but the Scottish Cup is a big thing for us so after the match on Saturday we will be looking to be in the hat for the next round.”

Off the pitch the Stark’s Park boss says he is hopeful he can add to his squad during the January transfer window.

"I think we could do with adding two or three, but not a lot,” he says.

"I think having too many players is just as big of a problem as not having enough.

“Sometimes we've been a bit sparse on the bench this season. When we played Inverness we only had three young boys on the bench.

"That could have been difficult for us if we had needed to make substitutions.

“So I do think we need to reinforce but at the same time we've got Iain Davidson close to coming back from injury and Lewis Vaughan's not a million miles away if everything goes to plan.

“If we can get him back and firing on all cylinders it's like the best signing we could make. We couldn't get a better player without spending an absolute fortune.”
