Raith Rovers hope to sign loan player 'within next 24 hours'
While the main transfer window closed last month, clubs in League One and Two are able to make temporary transfers up until the end of February, which falls this Saturday.
Rovers currently have two loan players, goalkeeper Ross Munro from Ross Country and striker Steven MacLean from Hearts, but are permitted to sign up to four at one time.

Hide AdSpeaking to Fife Today this afternoon, Rovers boss John McGlynn said: "We're hoping to do something in the next 24 hours.
"We have two loan spaces available and we have been trying to get players, but we've been very specific and pernickety about what we want.
"We haven't been able to get the players we wanted, but I'm not that disappointed.
"The squad has been going along very nicely, and that spirit and harmony is there, so we don't need loads of bodies.

"I don't see us filling the two spaces, but I don't really feel we need two."
McGlynn had been keeping a door open for the potential return of Jamie Gullan on loan from Hibs but the striker now looks set to remain at Easter Road.
"Jamie Gullan is a non-starter," McGlynn said. "He went on the pitch for Hibs on Saturday so I don't think Jack Ross is wanting to lose him."
