The £5000 amount - one of 573 individual contributions to the club's Just Giving page - has helped raise £36,529 since the appeal was launched last week following the football shutdown caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

The club smashed through its initial £25,000 target in just three days and is now 73 per cent towards achieving a new target of £50,000.

The Raith 200 Club is based in the South Stand with members and guests contributing to funds on matchdays and via fundraising initiatives.

Four figure donations have also come from supporters groups with Neebors of Geordie Munro contributing £1500, while Rovers Down South, who had to cancel an upcoming tribute night, adding £1000 to the tally.

Fife's Finest also chipped in with £570, with a combined £720 coming from the FLS Lounge, while the newly formed Lewis Vaughan Supporters Club also donated £300.

Funds are continuing to pour in daily after chairman Bill Clark revealed in an interview to Raith TV that the club stands to lose around £200,000 due to restrictions imposed by the outbreak.
