Raith Rovers youngster loaned out to Highland League outfit as fixture change announced

Raith Rovers youngster Callum Hannah has joined Brechin City on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old Glenrothes-born left-back has moved to get game time at the team currently sitting in fourth place in the Highland League table.

Hannah, who first joined Raith in August 2023 after leaving Kirkcaldy & Dysart, is a former Scottish Schools internationalist who in recent years has been loaned out to Albion Rovers, Montrose and Clyde.

The diehard Raith fan, whose Stark’s Park deal expires this summer, started playing football at four-years-old for Thornton Locos and at eleven signed for Fife Elite.

After spending six years there, he then joined Dunfermline Athletic as a pro-youth before securing first team football with K&D in January 2023.

He is the third youngster to exit Raith this winter, following striker Josh Gentles who returned to parent club Rangers before being loaned to Alloa Athletic and midfielder Logan Raeside who has joined Dundonald Bluebell on loan.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that Raith’s home William Hill Championship encounter versus Ayr United, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 28, has been moved to Friday, March 27 with a 7.45pm kick-off.

This is due to a Scotland National Team fixture clashing with Raith’s.
