Scott Robertson will be named in the Raith Rovers squad for this afternoon’s match against Greenock Morton after signing a season-long deal, the Press has learned.

The former Hibs and Dundee United midfielder has been training with Raith since leaving Romanian side FC Botosani last month, where he made only four substitute appearances.

With their transfer budget spent, Rovers have not had the finances to sign the 30-year-old, however, a local company, Kingdom Homes, has stepped forward to fund the former Scotland international’s wages.

International clearance has arrived and the player is expected to feature against Morton at Stark’s Park this afternoon.
