Hardie joins on an initial one month loan and, subject to the completion of registration formalities, Raith hope to include the 18-year-old in the squad to face Livingston at Stark’s Park on Saturday.

Hardie has been a regular feature in the Gers’ first team squad this term but has only made four substitute appearances for Mark Warburton’s side.

The Scotland U19 international started twice last season and scored a double in a 3-1 victory over Dumbarton in April.

The six-foot striker is tipped for a big future in the game, and recently signed a new deal to keep him at Ibrox until 2018.
