Raith’s Bowie is starman in online poll

Raith Rovers teenager Kieron Bowie topped a online poll on the Twitter page of the Scottish football website ‘The Tartan Scarf’.

The 17-year-old, whose first full season in the Rovers first team ended with him being transferred to English Championship side Fulham, was one of four nominees for the #GoldenScarf Award in the Scotland Youth category.

The other names up for the award were Chelsea’s Billy Gilmour, Kai Kennedy (Rangers) and Stephen Kelly of rangers, who spent the season on loan at Ayr United.

Once the votes were cast Bowie came out on top with a massive 51.7 per cent of the vote, with Gilmour in second place with 34.5 then Kelly then Kennedy with 4.3 and 4.1 respectively.

Bowie is joining Fulham for an initial £150,000 payment, plus potential add-ons.
