Saints were really at it against Armadale from the first whistle and had the game out of sight by half time thanks to a three goal lead.

The United boss has made changes to his playing personnel since arriving at Barnetts Park, but reckons he’s now found the right formula.

He said: “I stood back during the first half and it was the first time really that I’ve thought to myself ‘these are my players on the park’.

“It’s been a bit of a transition but we’ve got there now and the boys were absolutely brilliant on Saturday.

“There’s a real unity in the changing room and the players were training really hard on Tuesday and Thursday.

“The big thing for us from the weekend was that we put the ball in the net in the first 10 minutes which put us at ease.”

Saints will be looking to carry the momentum into this weekend’s visit to Tranent - a side which sits just four points ahead of Morrison’s men.

“If we can get the win on Saturday then things are so tight in the middle of the table that it’ll put us in a one game swing,” said the boss.

“Tranent will be difficult, but we’ve done our home work on them.

“The main thing for us is that we focus on ourselves.”

The manager is expecting to add another signing before the weekend.
