Saints set to march back into league duty

Charlie King’s St Andrews United will hope to make a return to league duty on Saturday afternoon after being forced to kick their heels last weekend.

Saints had been scheduled to travel to face Arniston on Saturday but the home side were unable to host the game due to on-going ground works at Newbyres Park to prevent flooding.

A United statement said: “We would like to thank Arniston for providing plenty of notice and we look forward to playing the fixture next spring.”

United are at home this week when they welcome Craigroyston in the East of Scotland League 1st Division Conference A.

Newburgh were also without a game on Saturday so they too will aim to shake of a bit of ring rust this weekend.

They are at home in the EoS League 1st Division Conference B and will host Preston Athletic.

Tayport have made a terrific start to their McBookie.com East Region Premiership North and have six points from two games. This weekend they travel to Dundee Violet.
