Kennoway Star Hearts.........1

After a long, hard season KSH played hosts to Dundee Violet, both teams safe in the knowledge they would be playing in the East Premier again next season.

A well observed minutes of silence was held before the kick off as players, management and supporters from both sides paid their respect for former physio Geordie Adam.

Byers and Lee were patrolling the middle of the park and dominating the play.

Shaw was looking lively and after a teasing run he was upended at the age of the penalty area for a free kick.

He dusted himself down and took the award himself only to see the Violet shot stopper dive low to his left and scoop the ball away.

Despite the ascendancy of the first half KSH were still level. Dundee Violet looked to try and influence the game more in an attacking threat and that was evident early on when Paterson was called into action with a save from Middleton.

It was a laboured start to the half for the home team and the management decided to freshen things up with introducing sixteen year old Kay for his debut alongside another youngster Mann.

Without a great deal of attacking from either side the game looked to be plodding along to a draw. With fifteen minutes remaining Dundee Violet took the lead when a cross from the left found the head of an unmarked striker who had the simple task of heading home from a few yards.

This sparked another change with Craig entering the play. The winger added some pace and energy straight away as he created a half chance for Gray. On the left Wilson then saw a good run and cross defended superbly when a goal looked likely.

It looked like the chance to gain something from the match was gone.

With two minutes left a long throw in from Partridge was headed out of the Violet box where Craig rolled the ball to Doig, the defender looked up and swept a glorious pass into the feet of young midfielder Liam Mann, with a deft touch and composed finish the ball rolled under the `keeper for a deserved equaliser.
