Signings settle into a new life at East Fife

Summer recruits Thomas Collins and Danny Swanson are settling into life at Bayview, according to boss Darren Young.

And the Fife manager is also running the rule over other fresh faces at the club, with young trialists also being given a chance to impress.

Young hit it lucky when then unknown forward Anton Dowds was plucked from the East of Scotland League and went on to become the club’s top scorer in his first season.

The Bayview boss said: “The new boys are looking good, there’s been a bit of banter thrown around between them all but that’s good for the squad - they’re the kind of player we want to bring in.

“We have some younger ones in with us as well and we’ll see how they do in training and also in the games as well.”

Although not yet confirmed, the Fifers are likely to play three pre-season games ahead of the Betfred Cup kicking off with matches against Stenhousemuir, Caledonian Braves and Championship club Dunfermline Athletic in the pipeline.
