A tactical switch moving Boylan into a right back role seemed to steady the constant attacks from the home side and gradually KSH grew into the game.

The equaliser was a a goal of simplicity, a ball was played over a square looking Thistle back line, Gray out paced his marker and slammed the ball high into the net.

A few minutes later Gray was on hand again as he collected a Gay header to stab the ball through a ruck of players and catch the Thistle `keeper unaware as the ball slid under his body.

From being 1-0 down KSH were suddenly 2-1 up, confidence high and enjoying longer periods on the ball compared to the opening twenty minutes.

Gray was looking for his hat trick and he saw an effort from an acute angle miss the target by a few yards.

With the game lacking any real incident Thistle were thrown a lifeline when substitute Rowan was penalised harshly in the eyes of the majority watching when a ball was fired into his elbow from close range.

The referee deemed it a penalty and the gratefully accepted the chance as Paterson was inches away from saving.

Brewster played a pass up the line to Wilson, the forward showed great awareness when tucked wide on the touchline a full forty yards out he saw the Thistle `keeper stray of his line, he unleashed a volley that sailed over the `keeper and into the net.
