Stenny currently prop up the division and looks odds on to take the drop into League Two.

East Fife are currently flying high in fourth, and in the midst of a battle for promotion up a division.

But despite their differing fortunes, Paterson says the side should be wary of the Warriors who are in dire need for three points.

He said: “You look at the league table and you think ‘alright, we’ve played the Livingstons and we’ve played the Alloas’ but other teams are fighting for survival so there’s something on the line every week.

“It doesn’t get any easier but I’m confident of us going there and getting three points.

“With five games to go if we can put a couple of wins together we’ll be in a much better position.

“We can go into the game with a lot of positives.

“I saw us play Stenny before I signed and thought we were the better team that day.

“They’re struggling so we need to go there and dictate the game so that’s what we’ll be working on.”
