Glens are one of a number of clubs across the country to sign up to the ‘donate a ticket’ scheme which gives fans the opportunity to buy a ticket for the game scheduled on the fixture list before it was cancelled.

And supporters have been backing the club in their droves, with nearly £700 being raised.

The decision comes following a conference call recently with the region’s management committee.

This week the Scottish FA announced that its decision to play no matches at any level until April 30 had been extended into June.

Thornton Hibs boss Craig Gilbert said: “There’s not a lot we can do about it but I think it was the right decision.

“We go with the SFA because they run the referees, so whatever they decide that’s it.

“We’re restricted in what we can do so what’s done is done, but it’s a shame the way it has happened.”

Kennoway Star Hearts finish the season ninth place in the McBookie.com South Superleague playng 19 of their scheduled games.

Thornton Hibs ended their campaign fourth in the same league - having played just 16 games and winning nine of them.
